Founding manufacturer pilot

Test a guided buyer flow for one product family.

SalesCFG is looking for its first manufacturer pilot. We do not have published customer results yet, so we start with a bounded workflow your team can review: one product family, confirmed product rules, and the quote or technical output buyers need.

A reviewable pilot, step by step

We agree on scope and checks before configuration starts. Product-data readiness and complexity determine the effort; we do not promise a fixed implementation time.

  1. 01

    Choose one family

Select a product line, a buyer task, and the workflow you want to examine.

  2. 02

    Map confirmed rules

Identify options, dependencies, constraints, and which prices are approved for the sample.

  3. 03

    Build and review

Walk through representative buyer choices and inspect the resulting quote or technical output.

  4. 04

    Decide from evidence

Record passed checks, gaps, and open assumptions. Expand, revise, or stop based on your team's review.

Agree on the checks before building

The pilot should answer practical questions using scenarios and product information your team confirms.

  • Can a buyer reach a representative valid configuration?
  • Do confirmed rules prevent known-invalid combinations?
  • If pricing is included, does the displayed result match the approved price data?
  • Does the quote or technical output show the selected options and assumptions?
  • Are exceptions and unresolved questions clear for sales or engineering follow-up?

This process evaluates workflow fit. It does not promise an increase in conversion, revenue, or quote speed.

What we can validate together

Start with one product family, its choices and compatibility rules, and the quote or specification output you want buyers or sellers to receive.

We will map the workflow, agree which rules and prices are confirmed, and build a sample for your team to review. Unconfirmed product data stays illustrative.

  • A guided flow through a defined set of product choices
  • Compatibility behavior based on rules your team confirms
  • A structured handoff of selections into quote or technical documents

Who this is for

This is a fit to explore if you sell a configurable product family and want to see whether buyers can make more of the choices themselves before talking with sales.

A first conversation should establish whether there is a concrete use case and what a useful, reviewable pilot would include.

  • A product family with options, dependencies, or technical constraints
  • A small enough scope to review with product and sales stakeholders
  • A team member who can confirm product rules, prices, and document needs

What to bring to the first scoping conversation

A first conversation can start with one product family and a representative buyer scenario. A full catalog migration is not part of the initial discussion.

  • A current product or option list, such as a datasheet
  • Known compatibility rules, dependencies, or technical constraints
  • An example quote or specification, or a list of the fields it needs
  • A sales or engineering contact who can confirm assumptions

See whether one product family is a fit

Tell us what you sell and what buyers need to decide. We will suggest a pilot scope—or tell you candidly if SalesCFG is not a fit.
